With the SBB P+Rail app, you can pay for your parking quickly and cashfree. The P+Rail app unifies SBB P+Rail parking spaces with those of ten partner railways (BLS, RhB, RBS, TPF, SOB, MGB, OeBB, AB, AVA and Zentralbahn). Parkingpay parking spaces and a large number of parking spaces from municipalities throughout Switzerland round off the largest Swiss parking offer in one app.

And here’s why the SBB P+Rail app is so simple and fast:

The app always knows exactly where your nearest parking space is, so you don’t need to go to the information board.

Extra information about the parking spaces is displayed for each location, such as the number of electric car charging stations or important restrictions.

If you make a mistake while booking, you can easily cancel your parking payment independently within the first few minutes.

You can access an overview of your active, expired and refunded parking tickets.

You can store several number plates and save your personal favourite locations in the quick selection view.

Already using the SBB Mobile app for searching the timetable or purchasing tickets? You can use your SwissPass login for the SBB P+Rail app too. In future, you will be able to use your stored payment methods in both apps – wherever and whenever you are on the move.

Ratings and reviews

Poorly designed app, for no good reason. Unlike every other map on the internet it will not show you anything at all if you zoom out. No suggestions. If you search a big city, it will not show you results even if there are 3+ in the area on Google maps. It will not make a recommendation near your search, even if there are lots within 5 km. Only if you know the exact name of the parking lot or garage it will then show you a result. :/

Works, but is incredibly cumbersome compared to just using TWINT for parking. It logs out all the time, deletes payment options and you'll find yourself typing in payment detail while running for a train.

App might be ok but service is a scam. Booked parking in Chiasso station, paid. Went online to discover parking has been closed for a year. Booked Lugano, paid, arrived. Parking is closed under construction. Missed my train as I had to find alternative parking. No way to get refund if app thinks your parking has started. How is SBB allowed it to charge for non-existent parking?
