About this app

This is the companion app for AlexaGear.

AlexaGear is the Samsung Gear/Galaxy Watch application which lets you use Amazon Alexa Voice Assistant on your Samsung Smartwatch.

This app only works as a companion to the Tizen watch app which is available on Galaxy Store. It is ONLY available for Tizen based Samsung watches prior to Watch 4 and Watch 5. It does not work with Wear OS based watches.

You can find the main app on Samsung Galaxy Store.

New Features:
- 2 way conversation with Alexa is now possible
- Alarm & Timer setting in sync with your other Alexa devices (set timer & set alarm commands)
- Optional new method for communication between watch and phone (default is File, please test both to determine faster one for your setup)
- Immediate sending of voice command using the same button before default 5 seconds
- Alarm & Timers trigger ntification on watch (vibration and sound alarm based on your watch settings)
- Optional purchasable addon for removing notifications & requirement to open phone app (This in-app-purchase does not remove Ads)
Improvements:

- Stable communication from watch to phone and Alexa service

*New watch application requires 3 permissions to be functional because of the new Tizen version. Please do not forget to accept these in first run on watch.

I got the apps installed on both my phone and my watch. Even tho it says disconnected on the phone, it still works. I've asked it many questions on a variety of topics and I've gotten the correct responses. So far my only issue with it is when I change the settings on the phone app from watch only to phone only to both, I get no changes. The audio comes through both the phone and the watch despite the setting. It's still pretty cool though. I hope it continues to work. This is an update.

I have asked everyone to contact me through email if you have a problem. Unfortunately this kind of feedback does not help me. And in such case, I can't help you. If you care, you can contact me with screenshot of your phone/watch. But believe me it works if you follow the instructions carefully.

App seems to work well. I was curious if this work and it did perfectly this morning. So the problem is this. If I tell the watch to turn off and on lights. it works 100% all the time. If I ask it a question , it isn't 100% she's going to response vocally ? Why is this ? It clearly controls smart items around the house without fail, but if I ask the time, it's not 100% Alexa is going to tell me the time and this is confusing me. What is the issue here ?

Downloaded on watch and phone on 2/17/19. Asked Alexa to play a song by an 80's rock group on my Galaxy Watch and a Bible audiobook played a sample on my phone. I applaud and appreciate the effort, but without the full backing of Amazon, this app isn't useful. Thank you for your effort, but it just doesn't work like an Amazon device should.

this is a ridiculous statement. the app records your voice and sends to Alexa api. If there's noise in the background , it is NORMAL that Alexa can't understand what you asked for. This is a fact. And it is also the same for an Echo device. When there is background noise , my Echo devices get me wrong.
