About this app

The Intercom Anywhere is built exclusively for your Control4 Smart Home and makes your mobile phone part of your video intercom experience.

Get notified when someone rings your doorbell—then see and talk to them, or simply ignore. Two built-in, custom buttons allow you to control your smart home during the intercom call—turn on lights, unlock the door, disarm the alarm, or anything else you would want to do when a visitor comes to the door. Plus, make calls between your Control4 touch screens and your mobile phones—allowing you to keep in touch with your family when you are away.

Ratings and reviews

There is no video. It’s motion sensor so you can only see the person at your door in real time. Also the notifications don’t open the app so there are multiple steps to see the person and you have to be at your phone at all times and move quickly to actually catch the person at your door! Also, there is a separate app so it’s not integrated with the Control4 app - you need two apps so it doesn’t feel integrated - which is the purpose of a home automation system!! Not as good as Nest or Ring

Adequate, not great. Clunky interface and sometimes hard to quickly answer a call from a door station. Definitely needs a notification option of vibrate only with no sound. The only option now is either an audible sound or no notification whatsoever (aka Do Not Disturb)

works great, lot of great feature. but on last Pie upgrade it stopped working completely. this is really unacceptable for me. this also controls the gate intercom, which means people can't let me know they are at house, especial if they don't have my phone number
