This Control4 app is specifically designed to be used with Control4 Smart Homes running OS 3. It turns your Android phone or tablet into your personal user interface to control all your smart home devices.

Smart Home OS 3 was thoughtfully redesigned to make it more personal and the smart home OS of choice for families. It enables you to check on the status and control your entire smart home including music, video, lights, thermostats, security system, cameras, door locks, garage doors, pools, and much more.

Ratings and reviews

This app and its components are a game changer. If you can afford such a system then you know how great it is. True its not for the do it do it yourself types. This is a highly sophisticated system that requires service and programming. once programmed, its a one button press to leave the house locked, power off, alarm set, and gate opened.

The C4 app may be good for iOS but it stinks for Android. Sluggish, unintuitive, and lacking basic features, like modifying lighting scenes for example. Spotify Connect is also a mess. It's about 60/40 against whether it works or not. Maybe even 70/30. It doesn't make me feel very good about dropping nearly $25k on my home automation system.

All together this app is very useful however there are a few problems. One being that I couldn't control my eco thermostats from the app after they randomly got disconnected. Another being that when you try to turn off audio playing from speakers using a switch(not the app), it turns it off for a second before it turns on again(however I'm not sure if that's just a problem with my switch). One thing to note is that I DON'T have the Intercom system so I can't comment on whether or not that works.
