Ratings and reviews

The first three difficulties are a breeze and then it highly jumps in challenge once you hit Medium or Hard mode. The puzzles are pointless because you pretty much do the same move in every challenge to win. It doesn't scale up at all. And the learn the game section just tells you the basics. It does teach you combos or known moves at all. It's definitely not a game for beginners. Also, the price to remove ads is just crazy.

Great offline chess program that gives me a strong game at about 2100 rating at the top level on my phone. It moves quickly. I use it to train before tournaments. It plays more like a human than a lot of programs. The only critique is that the first time it was necessary to beat the other 9 levels to play the top one but that only took me half hour or so and then I could choose any level in future games. The ads after the game can be avoided by turning off internet.

Overall a decent chess game. I kinda like that they make you play through the easy levels first. I did observe a couple bugs though. They both involve the screen that pops up at the end of the game. (It has the title "Lost! Retry your last move?") #1 This screen pops up so fast that you can't see the computer's final move. #2 This screen has a button labeled [TRY AGAIN], which shows a video ad - even for premium users who have paid to remove ads.
