About this app

Sight Reading Practice is a great app to practice your sight reading. It displays notes on the screen, and you simply need to play them on your instrument. The app uses the device's microphone to listen to the notes you play in order to give feedback (no cable or extra hardware required!)

This app is currently built to work with pianos. However, practice mode should work just fine with any instrument capable of playing notes from A1 to A6.

There are currently two modes available, a "Practice" mode, in which random notes appear one at a time, and a "Score" mode, where you can test your skills trying to play one of 10 included classical scores.

All current functionality is available for free without ads. In the future, we will release a pro version which will include structured sight reading exercises as well the ability to play any MusicXML score.

Happy playing!

Good App, sometimes it doesn't catch a note, but that doesn't matter too much. would be better to have an option to make a custom instrument with a set range always to practice. or better yet like sub options for each instrument to select the ranges of keys to get.

Easy to navigate, no intrusive ADs, note recognition is good, ability to insert custom ranges to train on. The app is not PERFECT, note detection is a little stubborn, but it is so infrequent so far that I can't complain. This app has surpassed my expectations and I personally am very pleased with it.

This is exactly what I wanted, an app I can play my instrument into rather than having to use an on screen keyboard or midi input. This is helping me connect notes on a score to notes on the fretboard of my bass. Thanks great app!
