About this app

X-ING is an automated travel survey that is used by transportation and urban planning agencies to understand human mobility patterns and to enable them to make better informed decisions to improve the transportation systems and networks that you use every day. Your participation helps ensure that your mobility needs are represented. You’ll see a detailed daily travel and activity timeline that you can edit and a summary of your mobility and activity patterns. All collected information is used for research and planning purposes only.

We have developed our app to minimize battery consumption, but please keep in mind that continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life more than usual.

This app doesn't work well. It's a waste of space and battery use on a cell phone. It doesn't pick up where your going, the instructions in it are lacking to say the least. You have to verfy the day and make edits, which is what the app should be taking care of. If you downloaded the app for only 24hours to try it out for pay with the state of AZ. Good luck on getting paid. they will tell you they are not receiving Datta and have you keep it for more that 24hrs and still stall on payment.

This app is trully awful. It doesn't track your trips properly at all. Adds random times when it thinks you are traveling and editing trips is a pain and usually doesn't actually clear up problems, just creates new random events in the travel log that also need to be cleared up. This app is a waste of time making the survey it's used for a waste of time.

As everyone has said, app is extrememly difficult to use and its GPS tracking isn't even accurate. Might be a more user friendly one if it simply allows users to manually enter in all the trip information from time to time, rather than spending more time FIXING when/where the app thinks they are going...
