Five years ago, Carl 'CJ' Johnson escaped the haze of Los Santos, San Andreas ... a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs, and corruption. Now, it's the early '90s. CJ’s got to go home — his mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart, and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster. On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of cops frame him for homicide, forcing CJ on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets in the next iteration of the series that changed everything.

Ratings and reviews

They have improved the frame pacing. It is better than the initial release. The jitters were impossible to ignore and play back then, but now it almost playable. But, however , 10 mins of play, and it gets my device so hot that i have to stop. I'm playing on Galaxy s21. I have edited my review thrice, and now updated my ratings from 5 to 2 stars. I think getting the anniversary version is a better option. I have completed the game there, it's smooth and doesn't lag or heat at all

The graphics are great, and the new features that weren't in the original game are nice, too. However, the controls are janky, it tends to lag a little bit, the aim is very poor, the camera movement for your person is very poor, and you can hardly adjust anything in the settings such as increasing the button sizes. Had strong potential, but it isn't living up to that

It's great, runs super smooth. I am actually surprised how well it runs on my old phone. No issues while playing. - - It kinda sucks not being able to play it on PC because phone is so small. Would be nice to be able to switch it up. - - My biggest issue is if I have to do anything on my phone, the game closes and I have to load back in. Losing any immediate progress beforehand and putting me back a few minutes. Wish it would just keep running while I respond to messages. Kinda frustrating.
