This app keeps time, but the visible beat numbers do not sync well with the click. I do not reccomend using this with piano lessons, or any instrument lessons, because the out-of-phase feature is confusing to young students, especially those who are "rhythmically challenged". It would be fine for a blind student. I like the one called "mobile metronome".

Simple, intuitive interface. And free. Ads are low key and unobtrusive. I practice guitar much more WITH metronome, now, because I have my phone with this app with me 99% of the times and places I pick up a guitar.

The ads are really obnoxious. You start the app, hoping to be able to do something with a tempo, and then it immediately and always posts a full page ad to take over everything that you're doing. You finally are able to do something with tempos about 30 seconds later.
