Embark is a language learning app to help prepare missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Embark can be used by anyone.

Missionaries are encouraged to use Embark once they receive their call, during the MTC as well as while they are on their mission to learn gospel and daily missionary language.

● Use what you learn right away in real conversation
● Make it your own by creating from what you are learning

Ratings and reviews

No text displayed on home screen. Found the tabs at the top, but no text or images are shown there. On the Basics tab, none of the buttons respond. Have seen many reports of similar issues. Update: left it for a day or two and tried again. This time the text was visible and buttons were responsive.

Great for popular languages, but be careful with the content for less popular languages. (The content for Bolivian Quechua, which I am studying, has big flaws.) The ability to edit content is cool but has been a quirky bolt-on; I had one day with 4.6.62 where most things worked properly, but this morning that honeymoon is over. The team is aiming for a weekly release cadence, so they told me - so report any bugs you find and hope for a speedy resolution.

The Feedback button (accessed from the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of a lesson) does not work. It appears to do absolutely nothing. At least, nothing besides removing the "Continue" button from the current lesson being worked on, preventing you from moving on in the lesson. I can either exit out of the lesson to gather the current gathered experience, or I can exit the app. This is from the German suite, it may be different for other languages.
