About this app

Designed to work with the Migaku browser extension, the Migaku app allows you to learn any language effectively using flashcards created from real content. Whether you're learning German, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Cantonese, Portuguese, English, Italian or French, Migaku equips serious language learners with the tools they need to finally find fluency!

▪️ Study flexibly with seamless syncing

Sync and access your study cards created with the Migaku Chrome browser extension. Study from your device anytime, anywhere.

▪️ Memorize words better with spaced repetition

Study cards are automatically scheduled with increasingly longer intervals over time. This makes sure that words you've learned are reviewed just before it slips your mind.

▪️ Stretch your learning offline

There is no limit to where you can study with offline media capabilities. Images and audio are automatically synced to your device so you can keep learning whether you are on a plane or off the grid.

▪️ Import Anki flashcards into Migaku

Convert any decks from the third-party flashcard app, Anki, into one of Migaku’s four card types that are designed specifically for language learning—word card, sentence card, word audio card, and sentence audio card.

▪️ Learn multiple languages at once

Explore your inner polyglot desires—easily switch between study cards in different languages and individually keep track of how many words you are learning per language.

edit: Ok the app and developer, they're amazing. I filed a bug Friday and it was fixed Monday. The app has been working perfectly. Worthy sub old: This is such an amazing way to learn. Using this and the PC version I've been learning really fast and it's been really fun. Unfortunately the android application will not stay logged in. 'Something weird happened' error every time I open the app and I have to sign back in each time. I hope something can be done about this because it's frustrating.

By far the best Japanese course available. I just finished the Japanese Academy deck which took me a little under 5 months. I would review the cards, and listen to the audio every time. I was also immersing on the side, and was able to actively feel my understanding improve. I was also able to pass N5 practice tests with ease. If you stick with it, you'll see amazing results!

The app is good but it still needs a lot of work, on PC and on mobile. Not too long ago they doubled the default price of the subscription so I feel like they should have more attention on the problems. The mobile video player is very buggy and does not load unlisted live stream vods. There is no way to pause your flashcard progress. very often the generated readings for kanji is incorrect, even if given from an audio source. The back button on Android devices does not function. etc.
