Uganda Microcredit Foundation Ltd (UMF) is an indigenous Micro Finance Company that was incorporated and started operations in Uganda in 2008. UMF is a member of the Association of Microfinance Institutions in Uganda (AMFIU).
We are an institution dedicated to properly providing Ugandans and SMEs with flexible finance. Since launching in 2008, we’ve supported thousands of businesses with their growth plans across various sectors, from professional services to hospitality. Flexibility is at the very heart of our offering.
Our digital loan product has a repayment period of between two and six months. Our monthly interest rates are between 12 and 18%, which makes our uncompounded Annual Percentage Rate(APR) between 144.4% and 218.15%. We do not have any other charges on our loans. Imagine you take a 60-day loan of UGX 500,000 with us at a 15% interest rate, you will pay back a total of UGX 575,000 at the end of your loan period.
