About this app

Run your model trains without needing the complex DCC equipment. Simply install the LocoFi decoder modules into your locomotives, put them on any DC (9V - 24V)/DCC track and run them simultaneously using the LocoFi app. The app features loco discovery and will only control trains that are present on the same local network. This can be your home network or a dedicated router. Internet connectivity is not required as long as you have the app installed

The LocoFi module comes with onboard sound stored on a MicroSD card. That way you can load custom sounds easily. DC/DCC powered track, your locomotive with LocoFi module installed, your WiFi router and the LocoFi smartphone app is all you need. There can be multiple users running the app and each user can in turn be controlling multiple trains.

Ratings and reviews

have 2 devices installed, one waiting to be done; takes a little getting used to, but there are instructions and youtube videos that help; having a decent network connection where you run your trains is a key issue as is constant track power. The customer support is very responsive! My Samsung Tablet shows the app with a date of January 2022 and no updates pending.

Only weakness is that it only works on the 2.4 GHZ wifi channel which can get crowded at times with other devices.
