About this app

Our AIB (NI) Mobile Banking (formerly known as First Trust Bank Mobile) App allows you to access a range of convenient features on your Android phone.

These features include:

• Quick balance – View your balance without logging in
• Pay up to £1000 daily to any UK account with Mobile Open Payments
• Check your account balances and available funds
• View recent and pending transactions
• Cancel or replace your lost, stolen or damaged debit or credit card instantly
• Apply for a Fixed Rate Personal Loan
• Transfer money between your accounts *
• Transfer money to any UK Bank or Building Society Accounts *
• Pay bills *
• Apple Pay – Add cards directly to your Apple Wallet
• Quick Pay feature
• View and cancel your Standing Orders
• View and cancel your Direct Debits
• Log in securely using Touch ID or Face ID
• View and export up to 7 years of statements

*You can transfer funds and pay bills to existing accounts and companies already set up on your Online Banking.

The app needs the following permissions to work on your phone:

• Identity/Contacts – to retrieve the device name to help distinguish phones when unregistering the App on Online Banking
• Phone – so you can call our help or product numbers directly from the app
• Device ID & call information – to read phone status and identity

If you are already registered for Online Banking, you can start using the Mobile Banking App straight away. Just download the App, log on using your Online login details and start banking.

This used to be an excellent, very reliable app, but over the past 4 months it has deteriorated. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it to no avail. Problems I mentioned in my review in May 2024 remain ..... [edited] UPDATE 24 SEP 2024 Having uninstalled and re-installed the app three times it now seems to be working as it ought. No indication from AIB or App Developer that they actually corrected any bugs but thanks anyway. I am a satisfied user again.

Was trying to log in all the time it said that may details are wrong which wasn't ,installed, uninstalled app several times, keeps asking for update and always comes up as a technical issue or URL is too long or something. Was calling to customer service. Didn't get much help, either. The old app was better. This one is rubbish. It's 2024, and the app still doesn't work properly. Most of the time, there are some technical difficulties, and I can't even log in to my account.

Rubbish mine hardly ever works can't get access to accounts or services at all old one was simple easy to use and no bother think it time for as there seems to be no bother with other banks online services

This update is all about the background work. The app developers have been busy bringing you some small enhancements and bug fixes.
