About this app

The AIB Authenticator App enables 2FA (second factor authentication) for your AIB account. The App provides an additional layer of security which will allow you to log in or authenticate critical transactions on your account.

Once you are set up you simply have to enter your password, and then approve or deny the push notification sent to your phone.

Enrolment is easy. Once you download the app follow the steps to register your device. As part of enrolment you may be asked to create a Digital Profile. Your Digital Profile is a representation of identity information and security credentials which will allow us to uniquely identify you so you enjoy our services more securely.

Works then stops working. Have to call the helpline. If it works after that it's only for a short while. Spent days trying to make an online payment before I realised that the authenticator had stopped working again. Rubbish

Hi Darian, sorry to hear this. On the AIB Authenticator, can you check settings for Notifications, to ensure the App is not set on ‘Deep Sleep’. app don't work, when you try to login it closes by itself, impossible to use waste of time, even the normal aib app isn't working.

Hi Eric, so sorry to hear this. On the AIB Authenticator, can you check settings for Notifications, to ensure the App is not set on ‘Deep Sleep’. Awful. It does not work. Ring customer service. They cant help. Make an app that works properly before your release it and in doing so prevent your customers from using their cards. Ridiculous. It has wasted so much of my time and still I cant sort it out. Reply: I log in using all the correct info (after speaking to customer service numerous times) the screen flashes up and then I just get a screen pop up that says log in error with no error code and the only option is to log out.
