About this app
The AIB Authenticator App enables 2FA (second factor authentication) for your AIB account. The App provides an additional layer of security which will allow you to log in or authenticate critical transactions on your account.
Once you are set up you simply have to enter your password, and then approve or deny the push notification sent to your phone.
Enrolment is easy. Once you download the app follow the steps to register your device. As part of enrolment you may be asked to create a Digital Profile. Your Digital Profile is a representation of identity information and security credentials which will allow us to uniquely identify you so you enjoy our services more securely.

• Business cardholders can authenticate online purchases for Debit or Credit card transactions.

Its become unusable and frustrating. when the push notice comes through and you use your pin, most times the app will open and your push notice disappears... therefore you can't process the online payment. you have to hit cancel and restart the process.... time after time. this used to work great in the past but this issue began in the last 12 months.

The Team are available Monday to Friday from 8am-6pm and they will be happy to check this further for you. Selecting option 2. Please note: always ensure you have a very strong wifi connection, when using the AIB Authenticator App.

Absolutely disgraceful app, it's telling me the number I have entered is incorrect even though it is copy and pasted from my text message, I then called the number for help and to proceed they need details off the app that I can't get into. How can developers get it so wrong? I am a business owner it's 8th of July at 7:33pm I'm sure the AIB guys are having a nice BBQ or something I have lost 90 minutes of my life on an app that is not fit for purpose and non existent support.

Another Annoying banking app. Couldn't even get past initial set up process. When I tried to confirm my business phone number it failed repeatedly to send me a confirmation code via SMS. So I gave up.
