What’s online banking without a mobile app?

With the AIB Mobile on your phone you have access to:
- View up to 2 accounts without logging in: press that Quick Balance button!

- Share your IBAN & account details

- View & export up to 7 years of statements

- Report your card if it is lost or stolen (it happens!)

- Freeze/Unfreeze your card

- Reset your PAC or recover your Registration Number (it's hard to remember everything!)

- View & cancel your Direct Debits and Standing Orders

- Apply for Personal Loans while on the go

- Selfie Check for Higher Value Payments

- Remote Account Opening

- And much more...

To use the app you need to be registered for AIB Phone and Internet Banking.

The app needs the following permissions to work on your phone:
- Identity/Contacts – we need the device name so you can unregister (ie. remotely wipe the app) from AIB Internet or Tablet Banking
- Phone - so you can call our help or product numbers directly from the app
- Device ID & call information - to read phone status and identity
- Calendar - so you can add reminders to your calendar when serving notice on Online Notice Deposit savings accounts
- Camera and Microphone Permission - A video call with an agent is required to verify a customer's identity along with their identity documents. 3DS authentication often doesnt appear - 8 times out of 10 it doesnt appear leaving me in limbo trying to complete my online purchase. When it does appear, it doesnt always work either so I'm not sure if payment has been taken or not. Logging in is a continuous issue, security check complete, but its not, then it tells me to update app, which i do, but that doesnt fix the issue either. Very poor. Would score less than 1 if I could. No wonder customers in Ireland are jumping ship to Revolut!!

I cant log in anymore, so can only give it 1 star now,app is useless. I noticed it was getting difficult last few weeks to log in, like I might have to try 5 - 10 times, but today I have spent atleast 15 min now and cant log in, it just keeps resetting back to the start of log in. I have used it for years without a problem,everything worked perfectly fine,must have been an update a few weeks ago that broke it for me. Lads,at this stage its easier to keep/get money when its under the mattress!

I’m currently unable to log in. Everything was working fine until about a month ago, but now I can’t access the app around 90% of the time. It often seems unreachable throughout the day and night. I understand there may be maintenance periods, and previously these were limited to the early morning hours until around 4 or 5 am. However, that no longer seems to be the case, and access issues are now occurring at all times.

What’s new

We have some exciting features in this App release. You can now request a Credit Card limit increase on the Mobile App, amend more values in a standing order, make a donation to a Charity and see extra details on your Credit card transactions. We are also adding some security messages when making payments, there are some updates on the payments log screen and new functionality enabling Open Banking non-domestic SEPA payments, made available without the need for card reader.
