About this app

This app allows to search the database of haveibeenpwned.com for a list of accounts (or email addresses) that have been leaked in a data breach that was exposed to the internet.
Once the name of one or more account(s) or email address(es) are added in the the app, it will check if any of those are found in the haveibeenpwned.com database. Schedule a daily (or weekly) check and the app will show a notification when a new account breach was detected.
The new function "Pwned password" can check if a password was included in a data breach.

Hacked? will send all the accounts you entered to the website https://haveibeenpwned.com to check for potential matches in the database. When checking for Pwned Passwords, the first 5 characters of the SHA-1 Hash of the password are sent to https://api.pwnedpasswords.com. Apart from that no password data is sent anywhere else.

Permissions:
- access to the state of cellular and wireless network to decide if wireless network is available or (if enabled) cellular network is to be used.

Ratings and reviews

Such a great app! I can add as many accounts as I need, and it shows me where my data was leaked and what type of information was exposed. It's easy to use and free of interruptions. I'd just suggest adding an option to notify the user when something happens, like an update on data leaks. Also, as a visual improvement, I'd include the number of accounts I'm tracking and how many of them have leaked data.

The app does not let me know if Ive been breached or not. I type email in box to be checked. The little wheel spins. Then nothing. The app appears to have a message for me however I cannot get to it because after the little wheel spins for either of the 2 emails I need checked the app will go no further. I need this to work because I am no longer recieving my emails. I must have been hacked. Please help.

This app does seem to work despite multiple critical reviews. I am willing to say that if someone says that this app isn't working, they might have opened the app at the wrong time or failed to update their rating. That's the only complaint I have about this app. Everything inside about the app, however, does seem to work as intended.
