About this app

Free, handy and trustworthy LED flashlight app without intrusive popup ads and without unnecessary permissions.

The most important features of the flashlight:
- includes a flashlight widget,
- gesture support, double shake device sideways to turn on/off,
- bright light and high power,
- easy, effective and fast,
- can work when the device is locked,
- safe and without unnecessary permissions,
- free and without popup ads.

Why does the flashlight app require CAMERA permission on older devices?
Technically the flashlight is part of the camera, so sometimes it is required.
We absolutely do not use camera to preview the image.

My Motorola phone flashlight turns on easily when you shake it but this one won't. Even with the sensitivity dial set at either end. You cannot read the wording on the setting because it goes off screen and no way to see it so I tried both ends multiple times. This phone, Rhino A1, as a whole is cheap, a free phone with service. Perhaps it's the phone and not the app. I edited this when I saw all the positive ratings. I need to see what is running the light on my old Motorola. What does it say?

It does what it says on the tin. It's a flashlight. No frills, just a way to light your path in the dark or to better see things up close. Though not ad-free anymore the ads are tiny, unobtrusive banners sitting at the bottom of the screen. Don't know what else to say, it's the best of the flashlight apps because it sticks to what it's supposed to be, a good flashlight, an on and off button, and nothing else. Other apps get bloated with unnecessary features and ads. This is just a flashlight.

The 9 of free apps! It works. It's free. No ads. No other fancy, unnecessary nothing! What more is there to say, except: for a Galaxy S9+, Samsung should have done that! Why not a 10? The icon added to the home screen is larger and lines up lower than the others. But, it works, it's free, no ads, no fancy unnecessary nothing! I'm cool with the offset icon!
