About this app

The Church has been praying the Psalms, privately and corporately, since the very beginning. From the believers in Acts 4 praying Psalm 2, to early monastics reciting the entire Psalter every day, the Psalms infuse Orthodox worship through today.

"Pray the Psalter" offers three ways to include the Psalms in daily prayer:

- Pray the Psalms one-by-one
- Pray the Daily Hours (Psalms assigned to different parts of the day)
- Pray the designated 'kathismata' (or part of one) day-by-day

This psalter uses the text of the King James Version, edited to conform to the Septuagint.

its easy. its hard to believe the liturgy of hours would go so fast. in 15-20 minutes its over and thats when finish the psalter in aweek. i can add other prayers beyond the psalter into the time slots they have now for the liturgy of hours. on your own it goes faster. the oriignal rosary was 150 knotted rope that wasthe 150 pslams. memorized! this makes it easy. and you can add other prayers to your own customized prayer ropes, with the 40+ parables of jesus that is crucial. once u memorize it.
