About this app

Language Transfer provides free audio courses that teach you to take control of your thought process. There's no sign-up, no ads, and nothing to pay for — just pick a language and start learning!

This app provides the same audio available for free on languagetransfer.org, but allows you to download tracks in advance, save your progress, and listen with your phone locked. If you're ever having trouble with the app, you can always visit languagetransfer.org or find the courses on SoundCloud and YouTube.

We collect some anonymous usage data so we can improve the app and learn about how users are engaging with the lessons. You can learn more in the About section of the app, or turn off this data collection in the Settings pane.

After years of studying Spanish and feeling "stuck", this method has helped me to unstick, organize, and use all the years of vocabulary I've learned. I've made faster progress with the "Thinking Method" than any other single app or system (I've done them all). This is the first person I've ever supported on Patreon, and it's well worth it. (I do wish the app had a few things, like a way to not automatically play the next lesson, and title info for finding & reviewing specific concepts.)

This is exceptional! It feels like I'm starting to understand the language as a reflex beyond memorizing a set list of words/phrases. I chose German because I've heard it's difficult and I've never tried it before, plus there's a boardgame convention in Germany I want to visit someday. This course has been a refreshing new way to learn (to think) and filled me with confidence moving forward. Spiel Essen, here I come!

Started doing this instead of Duolingo a couple weeks ago and haven't looked back. It teaches grammar rules, how to form sentences, focuses on speaking, and explains how to transform English knowledge into your target language via common roots (hence the title "Language Transfer"). It's free without ads and has been great to use. You do need to pause the lessons and answer the speaking prompts yourself if you want to learn anything, but I still would 100% reccomend it.
