The Japanese course on Busuu is probably the best self study language course that I've come across. The grammar explanations, cultural info and presentation are top notch. Great work!!! Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the Mandarin course. It lacks grammar explanations, often there is no pinyin (it is difficult to distinguish voiced/unvoiced consonants from audio only) in the lessons, long sentences without audio, etc. I will not recommend this app for learning Mandarin.

I remember using Busuu during it's infancy. The basic package was sufficient at the time. I've only recently began using it again, and purchased the premium feature. It has made such a great difference. At the risk of sounding sensational, I really look forward to learning German and Italian every day now! The interface is super user-friendly, and the material is well thought-out. Busuu have really upped their game! Kudos to the team!

One or two recordings with the pronunciation of the words could be clearer 😊 or perhaps spoken slower, even with the very useful feature to slow down recordings. Additionally, please allow us to edit/delete our public corrections!!! It would also be useful to go back during lessons. I have to exit the lesson and start again in order to view a previous slide/screen. Edit: A few translations would be nice. Often we're given (seemingly) complex French sentences and have no way of decoding them!
