Ratings and reviews

I've been pretty happy with Plex overall over the years (lifetime subscription). I'm very disappointed in the new update/layout of Plex done in 2025. I really dislike that I now have to have an additional two separate apps for photos and music now, so three Plex apps total. No way to add movies to a playlist. Definitely a big step backwards in my opinion.

free movies??? a complete lie. I have selected many titles and none of them are free to watch. they all take you to another service provider like Netflix or Apple TV where you would have to pay subscriptions to watch. you said in response to another review that there are free titles. well please show them to us because I have gone through a lot and dis not find one that's free

Plex has become an insanely bloated, slow and unstable mess. It used to be an excellent app I used daily without issue. Now there are constant playback issues. The app thinks you are remote streaming (now a paid feature) even when on a local network. You can be sure of having to spend at least an hour troubleshooting before watching something. It went from hero to zero. Not worth using even for free.
