This app uses Accessibility Service API to protect the visually impaired and other users against phishing attacks and malicious websites via Web Guard feature. 

Contacts: A particular subset of this permission group is required to access device accounts to enable “restore a pin” action as part of App Lock feature.  

Location: Allows Network Inspector feature to identify new networks and scan them for threats.

I paid for a subscription to avast mobile security, but still get adverts to upgrade. I have avast cleanup installed also and it's confusing & difficult to know what's actually needed to be safe online. There seems to be crossover of the apps but it's difficult to distinguish what's best, or needed!. Is the upgraded security app doing the same as the basic cleanup app? Feeling like I should upgrade, upgrade & upgrade more! But do I need to? No idea 🙁🤔

I've got the free version, but so far so good. The one thing that kept me from subscribing, when I DID, was that they took triple the amount "we" agreed on, and I noticed that they change their intro "special offer" price, across different platforms. They should make the terms clear and stopping f*****g around. This is why we subscribe...to NOT get scammed by the apps that they design to PROTECT us. AI is on the rise. Get serious!

I have been subscribed to Avast since 2018. On my mobile it is fine. However, when you changed to Avast One it completely messed up on my PC. According to my account, I don't have any subscriptions. Trying to get it to work is impossible. I have used chat and supply with no luck Chat goes around in circles and support just doesn't. I have spent hours over numerous days trying to get it to work on my PC. Ultimate, which I had before was fine Why change something which worked ? Very annoyed now.
