GearCheck is a private, offline-first inspection log for the competent person who keeps their own fall-protection and rigging-gear records — harnesses, lanyards, SRLs, connectors, ropes, anchors and slings.
WHAT IT DOES
• Scan a QR or barcode label to open that item's inspection history in one tap
• Track both the next inspection date and the manufacturer's service-life expiry independently — two clocks, computed for you
• Record pre-use checks and formal, documented periodic inspections
• Use a checklist matched to each gear type — harness, lanyard, SRL, connector, rope, anchor, and synthetic, chain, or wire-rope slings
• Capture manufacturer, model, serial number, rated capacity, and dates
• Mark gear removed from service and keep the record of why and when
• Group gear by site or crew and run a what's-due worklist
• Attach photos of damage, labels, or load indicators
• Generate a posted inspection-tag image to attach to the gear
• Export a site or per-unit history PDF for the file and the inspector
• Works offline — no account, no sign-in, no connection needed
