FairOwe turns the alerts your bank already sends into a ledger you don't have to type.

WITHOUT READING YOUR MESSAGES
FairOwe never asks for SMS permission. It reads notifications — and only the ones posted by banks and payment apps on a built-in list. Everything else on your phone is ignored before it is even parsed. The alert text is read on your device, stays on your device, and is never uploaded.

CAPTURE THAT ACTUALLY WORKS IN INDIA
Parsers for HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, Kotak, PNB, BoB, BoI, IDBI, IDFC FIRST, plus GPay, PhonePe and Paytm. A debit alert becomes a draft with the amount, the merchant, the date and the last four digits of the account. You confirm it or throw it away — nothing is booked behind your back.

SPLIT WITHOUT THE SPREADSHEET
Make a group for a trip, a flat or a dinner. Split equally, by share, by exact amount or by percentage. FairOwe simplifies who pays whom, so four people settle in two payments instead of six. Settlements are append-only: a correction is a new entry, never a silent edit, so the numbers everyone sees always agree.

YOUR MONEY, MONTH BY MONTH
Budgets per category with a live meter. Cash tracked alongside cards. Recurring payments spotted automatically, so the subscription you forgot shows up before the renewal does. Insights that answer "where did it go" without a chart you have to decode.

WORKS OFFLINE, SYNCS WHEN IT CAN
Everything is stored on your phone first. Sync is for having the same ledger on your next phone, not for the app to function. Reinstall, restore, carry on.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR PHONE, EXACTLY
The finished expense: amount, merchant, category, date, account tail. That's it. Not the alert text. Not your contacts — the add-members picker matches your address book using one-way hashes, so we never see a number you didn't add to a group. Not your bank balance, even when an alert states it.

DELETE MEANS DELETE
Privacy & data → Delete account removes your expenses from your phone and from our servers. In shared groups you become "Former member" so the balances other people rely on stay correct — nobody else's records break because you left.
