LeitnerLoop turns what you know into a review schedule.
You write the cards — that is the whole point. The app decides when you see them again, using the Leitner system: five boxes, reviewed at 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days. A right answer moves a card further away, a wrong one sends it back to the start. It is simple, it is explainable, and it has worked for fifty years.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Create decks and two-sided cards, with an optional note
• Create both directions of a card in one gesture — "Canada" and "Ottawa" become two independent cards, because knowing one way is not knowing the other
• Review everything at once, or one deck at a time
• Get a reminder at the time and on the days you choose, only on days when cards are actually waiting
• See how your cards are spread across the five boxes, and what is coming over the next seven days
• Suspend a card without deleting it, archive a deck without losing it
• Export your whole library to a file, and restore it
SO YOU DO NOT START FROM A BLANK PAGE
Four decks are offered the first time you open the app, to keep you going while you write your own: Discover LeitnerLoop, Essential English, English Irregular Verbs and The Periodic Table. Decline them, edit them or delete them like any other deck.
You can also describe a topic and let a language model write the deck for you. It is a door, not the house: it needs an account, it spends credits — earned by watching an ad, or bought — and the topic you type is the only text of yours that leaves the device. Any deck written this way can be reported in one tap.
YOUR CARDS STAY YOURS
The app works offline and without an account: your cards live in a local database and do not leave it. If you want to, you can link an account to carry them from one device to another and have them backed up on their own; until you do, nothing is sent anywhere. The backup produces a file that is yours to keep, and uninstalling erases everything.
HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS NOT
No leaderboard, no streak to protect, no rewards. The statistics are there to help you understand your progress, not to put you under pressure. Writing your own cards is still the heart of the method — that is where half the learning happens — and the app is built around it.
