- The app turns your smartphone into a vibration analyzer.
- It measures vibration in equipment with rotating components using the accelerometers available in most smartphones.
- After approximately 12 seconds of data collection, the app calculates the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Power Spectral Density (PSD), which can be used for predictive maintenance by analyzing vibrations. This analysis helps predict equipment failures or assembly errors by identifying abnormal vibration magnitudes at rotational frequencies of internal components or their harmonics.
- It can be used on any industrial equipment that allows secure smartphone attachment.
