Batteries have a limited lifespan. Every time you charge your device, it wears out the battery, lowering its total capacity.

📊 BATTERY USE
 
Accu​Battery measures the actual battery usage using information from the battery charge controller. Battery usage per app is determined by combining these measurements with information on which app is in the foreground. Android calculates battery usage using pre-baked profiles that device manufacturers provide, like how much power the CPU uses. In practice however, these numbers tend to be highly inaccurate.

I've been using this app for years now. Still loving it. I loving have so much data available, but from a practical standpoint, being able to set a point in the charge cycle for it to notify me (I have mine set at 80%) so I can take it off my charger is nice, and helps preserve the battery. It can't stop the charging for you unfortunately, but at least you can have it notify you. Highly recommend.

Clean UI with useful advice backed by actual research and not hearsay, superstition, or old-wives' tales. Edit: 2 years later and I can confidently state this app has protected my battery health. I have upgraded to a new phone, but my old phone still has a healthy battery. Edit: 5 years later. That phone retained 90% capacity when I traded it in after 3 years.

Very nice app to keep track of your battery health and the best practices associated with it. The only reason I'm giving it a three-star is because it does not have a profile option. Like you cannot save your devices and history, the other day I have to delete and reinstall the app and all the data was gone from my past 2 years. My battery health what's 83% based on 12 sessions, its gone!
