Great for keeping our family members updated and in touch on what's happening, since we are spread all around the country. Only negative is that it is just one long thread of messages - can't separate the topics/discussions into separate threads with appropriate titles. That would make the list more manageable, and easier to search for a specific message if needed. But so far, we are enjoying the connectivity it is providing for our family instead of trying to text each other all the time.
This app was great but now is sucks, one group I am in has over 200 people in it however the app is showing 0, I can't direct message anyone nor do I get the notification. I uninstalled, logged out, nothing has worked. I even emailed tech support but they never emailed me back. The desktop version work fine but I just want the app to work again.
Desperately needs a "go to date" function - bloody stupid having to scroll all the way back to a date, especially if your groups do a lot of chatting. And possibly a search function to round it off - would be five stars if both those were added.
Very finicky app, constantly crashes when the user attempts to navigate the UI too fast. Managing/deleting/sorting previous messages requires you to enter a maze of settings and menus. Sub par for sure.
Terrible support for GroupMe's own emojis on Android (Xiaomi Mi 5; stock Nougat based ROM). On my iPhone I have no issues, but on Android I can't even access the emoji shop, nor can I use the default emojis. I can only use Google Keyboard's emojis unfortunately... What a letdown. I want to use my Adventure Time emojis again. ☠️
Not sure why it doesn't automatically or manually refresh properly. I can't see current messages and then all of a sudden they all come at once from hours or days before. This happens several times a week and is a serious disappointment to an otherwise wonderful app
GroupMe can now be installed on SD cards!
- Fixed crash some people saw when trying to view the GroupMe emojis.
- Other bug fixes and performance improvements.
