Recently downloaded this app and I already love it. It's simple yet it's very sufficient. It's easy to use, helpful for memorizing symbols PLUS you could use it offline. VERY convienent! Not only that but this app only takes up 7MB of storage on my phone so, I don't have to ever worry about it taking up too much space!! the app provides Hiragana variants and combo phrases as well which is great! honestly if you're looking to just start learning and/or practicing hiragana this app is perfect.

I probably wouldn't use this app to learn Hiragana, but for practice? It's excellent. When you are practicing: stare at the kana, practice saying it out loud, then move your thumb and press the answer. Or, try and get as fast at picking the answer accurately as you can. Definitely make sure you practice speaking. It will help solidify your memory, how you pronounce it, and also how to read it in your head. Don't rely only picking from the four given answers, and it's a good review tool!

I've used so many other apps that assume you already know hiragana and I've spent so much time trying to just remember all of it with Quizlet. Not fun. This app seems to analyze how you answer and it picks good spots to throw in the characters you consistently miss so that you can learn from your failures. I came in knowing maybe 20% of hiragana and within half an hour I memorized all of it. Really nice job at matching the progression of difficulty to my progression of learning. It never felt difficult or frustrating, I would just miss some of the characters when I'd first see them, and the next time they'd come around, I'd usually remember them. Seriously, really good job with analyzing how I learn.
