If you've never used an electronic tuner before, it's recommended that you watch some tutorials on youtube first (some tutorials will be included in the app in a future release). If used improperly you risk breaking strings on your instrument and that would make us feel bad :(

Ratings and reviews

I'm so glad that I found this app before I changed to a new set of strings. Tuning up was so much easier . It is so much better than a general purpose tuner. The string detection is excellent and always works unless you are way out, as in changing strings . I like the numerical readout of the current frequency of the string. Please go further and display the target frequency as well. The sensitivity is about right, but can be changed if desired. People who gave it a single star did not realise!

Not only does it work great, but it has presets so that you can tune to several common mandolin tunings, as well as a chromatic tuner setting. Extremely useful for someone wanting to learn mando. Both as a beginner and even as an intermediate trying to expand their horizons with alternate tunings. Absolutely love it, and the ads are really no bother, But I'm considering removing them just to support the people who made this. 🖤

Bummer, I wanted to give this a good review. When the app started playing a constantly repeating loop so I can't try to tune anything and strong arm me into buying it is in poor form. If you wanted to make it a paid app just make it a paid app.
