About this app

The Widget App & Bluetooth Manager lets you easily connect Bluetooth headphones, earbuds, and speakers right from the home screen — with a separate widget for each device or a single widget listing all your Bluetooth devices. Includes a battery widget for AirPods and compatible earbuds.

If you want to listen to music, you have to go to settings and connect Bluetooth headphones?
Do you need to easily switch between car audio, phone or handsfree?
Simply connect to permanently powered Bluetooth devices such as soundbars?
Need to monitor battery level of your Bluetooth headphones?

I have a better solution – just add a widget to the home screen for all your favorite BT wireless devices.

One click on the widget to connect Bluetooth headphones and play Spotify without going into the settings menu. The widget always clearly displays the status of the Bluetooth connection. You can see connected Bluetooth profiles (music, call) on the widget, if headphones support it.

Option to view and change (requires Android 15) the Bluetooth codec used (SBC, AptX, etc.) depending on what your device supports.

For supported devices, the widget displays the battery level of the Bluetooth devices (the manufacturer must support this feature).

The app supports enhanced reading battery level from the following popular TWS earbuds: Google Pixel, Apple AirPods, Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds Live, Buds Plus. In the App, on the widget or in notification you can see the battery level of each earbud and the case.

Enhanced widget mode: Tap the widget to display a menu with options to connect / disconnect, select the active device and control Bluetooth profiles (music, call).

Restore saved volume level when headphones connect.

Customize widget size, color, margins, icon and transparency. On Android 12+, the widget supports dynamic color themes based on the user's wallpaper.

The app supports A2DP and Headset profiles, audio devices such as portable speakers, headphones, soundbars, handsfree, etc... On the widget and in the app, supported Bluetooth profiles are indicated by an icon in the top right corner. Note icon for A2DP - stream high quality audio (music) or phone icon for calls.

After the latest upgrade, I can connect my hearing aids for calls but not music. What happened? 2026/04/26: Thank you for your quick response! We're close to being back to normal. I unpaired my hearing aids, rebooted everything and your app is working. How do I set the default for Calls to be on and Music default to be off? Thanks much!

Hi Rex, good job! Connect the device, go to the Bluetooth settings (system menu in Android), where you'll find the individual profiles like calls and media. Turn off media, and the device will be used only for calls. Unfortunately, Google blocks this setting for third-party apps, so it can't be done from the app. Best regards, Tom

The ads are a problem. I was just trying to learn the features of the app when an ad popped up. Immediately uninstalled. Edit: Can't figure out if I like it when an ad pops up and locks me out from using the software. Having non-blocking ads would be fine with a combination of offering a trail period or even paid features. Without knowing if the software would even serve the purpose of what I need it for I won't purchase it just to remove the ads.

Yes. I understand that full-screen ads can be annoying, but I need to recoup the time I’ve spent on development somehow. And the ads are time-limited, they can’t keep appearing over and over again. If you’d like, send me an email and I’ll send you a code to test the ad-free premium version. Best regards, Tom

This tool is awesome! I freakin love it!! It creates little desktop widgets for each connection. You just touch the widget to connect, then touch again to disconnect. When connected, it shows you the connection status, the battery level, etc. You can also control connections through the app itself, which has a lot more options available. It has ads, but they're not obtrusive. Anyway, great tool! Wish I'd had it sooner!
