The Microsoft SwiftKey beta app for Android will not replace the regular Microsoft SwiftKey app on your phone, but will be downloaded as a second app so you can switch between the two for comparison.

EDIT; Reducing to 1 star. I was right about the trajectory; ORIGINAL:This used to be a five star app with an uncanny ability to predict what I wanted to type. Now, it fights with me all the time, insisting on correcting properly-typed text into actual gibberish even when I am repeating a phrase it should have learned via personalization. I can't find anything better at prediction or that has arrow keys, so I am sticking with this for now, but I really don't like this app's current trajectory.

The once awesome Keyboard has went downhill with Ms. It no longer seems to learn words and even replaces words that are correctly spelled and used. It's extremely frustrating. Omg fix text prediction. It's like someone who isn't fluent in English took over. It swaps correctly spelled words with the incorrect spelling within context. Laggy when typing!! PS, put some effort into the what's new. For example, be specific about what you changed, added, fixed.

I've been using this keyboard for many years, over the span of many devices and would love to give it 5 stars. However, the VTT (voice to text) is now utterly worthless. Either it incorrectly types what I'm saying or (far more likely) doesn't even recognize I'm speaking. The feature worked better 20 years ago (VTT itself) than it does now. It's slowly becoming a deal breaker. It's incredibly customizable and meets almost every need I have. Unfortunately, I'll soon have to go elsewhere.
