I downloaded this and was impressed at how easily it worked. I emailed my itinerary as instructed and voila it was there. I had tried several times the same itinerary with TripCase and it couldn't figure it out. I decided right away to go for the pro version to get alerts. I was in the BA lounge at Heathrow at the time. Not long after I got a message that my next flight was delayed 45 minutes. Very helpful I thought, but it actually wasn't delayed! Luckily I still made the flight.
Didn't load anything from concur even though said "connected". Reset everything in concur, then logged in to web portal of tripit, refreshed there, seems the app sync works now. Hopefully it'll work better next time I use it, we'll see.
The integration with Google calendar is massively inconsistent. The older versions of TripIt worked well with calendar. The current version drives me nuts. If TripIt adds something that changes, an airline flight, I couldn't get rid of it and end up with two flights. Many travel site updates end up creating multiple TripIt entries without even a warning from TripIt. I'm tired of googling to figure out how to fix things. Automatic changes to your calendar can be a nightmare when you can't undo them trivially. Duplicate TripIt entries are a pain without an alert and a easy fix. I can no longer trust TripIt information. Basically TripIt is ugly with Google calendar and ugly with updates to your travel plans. You end up keeping track of everything with a pencil. Just use a calendar app and you control the document of your plans. There is nothing worse than having no clue what an application is doing or might do.
0most useful Pro services are very costly. Actually typical tripit functions have become very common. There are lot of apps that can do it. Two years back Tripit had ad free versions with $0.99. Now all the versions are ad free and costs nothing. I hope Tripit will lower the subscription of Pro so that more subscribers can use it. In fact without Pro Tripit is nothing in present day context.
I am registered blind and am unable to use all functions of this app. For example, the buttons at the bottom of the page labelled trips, alerts, profile etc cannot be clicked on when the TalkBack screen reader is active. I am thus unable to add passport, visa and other information. If you could fix this accessibility problem the app will be fantastic. Thank you
TripIt has changed my travel. As a frequent business traveler having all my info in one place, plus alerts and updates is invaluable. I can't live without it.
