About this app
This free app "Experience Elm-Lappwald Nature Park" takes you on selected hiking trails to special natural beauties,
Cultural monuments and other sights as well as to the 34 information points with stamp points through the Elm-Lappwald Nature Park.
At every info point you will receive a digital info sticker that shows the story or background of the place in text and images as well as an MP3 file. You can now collect the stickers in the app in the same way as in an album and you can call them up again at any time and listen to the MP3 information.
Of course, the stamp of the tour is also entered in the digital hiking stamp book. Stamp by stamp you will learn more about the multifaceted region around the cities of Helmstedt, Königslutter and Schöningen .

Function description:
After installing the app, the map data (approx. 100 MB) will be loaded. If your smartphone is connected to a WLAN, this happens automatically. The data can also be downloaded using a cellular connection. To do this, tap the pop-up window to confirm. Please note that this is done at the expense of your data volume.
You can now use the app "offline". This means that an internet connection is no longer required. An online connection must be established to access external Internet sites, e-mail and telephone calls. If WLAN is not available, activate the "Mobile data" switch in the settings of your smartphone.
So that your current position is displayed on the map, please confirm that the app always has access to your device location.
In the main menu you will find a list of 34 info points (stamp locations), sorted by distance from your current location. A "child" symbol indicates a child stamp. A tour is linked to each info point, which you can call up in the detail view of the info point via the tour icon. After calling up the tour, the course is displayed on the map and the hike can start. Your position is constantly updated on the map. How far it is to the destination is shown by the remaining kilometer display at the top of the screen. If you leave the route by turning the wrong way, for example, you will hear a warning tone. Arriving at your destination safe and relaxed is no problem.
If you are within approx. 50 m of the info point, an acoustic signal will sound and a message will appear on the display that you are near the stamping station. At every info point you will find a small house with an "electronic" stamp point. You can use your smartphone to make contactless stamps on the NFC pin (near-field communication). Please activate the "NFC" function in the settings of your smartphone. If your smartphone does not have an NFC function, the stamping is done manually. To do this, enter the code of the stamp location in the input field. After stamping, you will receive further interesting information about the info point in text form or as an audio file to listen to.
In the main menu you will also find a list of all 34 tours that are included in the app. The tour description contains information such as length, altitude, level of difficulty and the course of the route with information on POIs (places of interest) along the route. There is an information point with a stamp on each tour.
The "Stamp Status" menu shows you the number of stamps that you have already collected. Adults need 34 stamps, children only 14 stamps to redeem them for a bonus at a tourist information office.
