About this app

The SmartRow App (together with the SmartRow-conversion) will turn your WaterRower into a lab grade ergometer. It will not only show you power, distance, work-per-stroke, calories etc., it will show you each force-curve, heart rate graph and much, much more! It keeps track of your workouts, and even shows you well-known fitness metrics like 'Watts-per-Beat' and 'Watts-per-Kilogram'.

The main reason I bought this was for more accurate metrics, but also the integration with exr. When I first got it there was a bug that caused a huge lag. Not only did they fix the bug, but support was incredibly helpful and kept me informed while they were fixing it. Now the integration works great and I can also use this main app to improvemy performance.

broadcasting to exr does not work when broadcasting from pixel 7 and 8 but does work from my very old Samsung A21s phone. hopefully this can be tested and fixed

Power metrics and interface are nice, but it lacks support for Wear OS (Pixel/Samsung) watch heart-rate monitors, which is a big disappointment. You can only use your Wear OS watch's HRM to connect to a separate device running SmartRow, not your primary phone. They developed a companion app for the Apple Watch ecosystem to get around this limitation, but haven't yet done so for Wear OS. I encourage them to address this shortcoming.
