Westpac CashNav is a free money management app (for smartphone only) that keeps track of your transactions so you can see what you spend to help you get what you really want.

It’s easy to use, simply open the app and log in with your Westpac Online Banking user ID and password. CashNav securely connects with your Westpac transactional and credit card accounts and tracks your day-to-day spending, purchases and bill payments and automatically groups spending into categories.

Push notifications give you automatic updates of your spending.

It also features an easy to read Spending Meter that compares your current spending to your typical monthly spend to keep you informed.

Really easy to use, and pretty good. No ads but you do need to be a westpac customer. It attempts to categorise expenses and its usually like 70% accurate. The other thing is it will sometimes count a pending transaction twice for some reason (it's a very minor bug but it'll probably be fixed in the next update). Overall good app though, like you can set it up so it gives you a notification every time money leaves your account and set targets/budgets etc.

Interesting to see the breakdown. Note: Sometimes have to re-enable the app via the app store to then open it and then agree to T&C's/policies. Would be nice if there was a tour to show how to get the most out of the app.

UPDATE: uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted phone (android 13), and now it won't even go past the intro slide screens, will not open at all. completely useless. Please provide a fix asap!!!! Had this app for ages...was great. Now it sends constant repeat notifications. For example; I purchased my groceries yesterday, and since then, I have had 5 notifications yesterday about it and 2 this morning. It's becoming annoying 😒 not helpful.
