Ratings and reviews

I almost never buy app subscriptions but I subscribe to Windy. The free version is great, the paid version adds some features that are definitely worth it. Having access to so many different weather models so easily and so well-integrated is awesome. I do not believe I have seen an app with such excellent integration of weather radar and lightning mapping as well.

I live on St. Croix, in the US Virgin Islands, and I've been through all of the hurricanes to impact the island, starting with Hugo in 1989. I have used all of the different metereological tools, as they have become available over the years, in order to prepare my properties and businesses for storms and their aftermath. Windy is in a class by itself: easily navigated UI, intuitive tools for analysis, and an unrivaled depth of information.

Interface looks good but wind forecast in my area (Milford, CT) is always off mark. Updated app with latest version., after update there is improvement, the wind direction is more accurate, but wind force is still far off on the windy day where it blows 15+kts. I will experiment more with paid version where more models are available.
