Ratings and reviews

Canceling your subscription is a nightmare. It is extremely easy to make purchases in the app. Subscriptions are automatically recurring, but you can not cancel in the app. You have to go through Facebook or Twitter, how that makes sense, I have no idea. You get to a bot that works half the time. Sift through pages and pages of non applicable information. Customer support may respond in 2 days. All for something that should have been available in the same interface that the customer uses. Shady.

Bumble had potential, I like that I can choose a number of preferences for free but it stops there. It can be okay for meeting local people within a 10-15 miles radius but outside of that basically everything has a pay wall and even that is fairly useless. If you can't see who likes you no one is ever matching. You can pay for a subscription but women typically don't so they don't see your likes anyway. Even if you get 100+ likes it feels nearly impossible to make a match

I've been using the app for a few months and not a single connection despite close to 1000 right swipes. I even paid for the Premium level and live in a major metropolitan area. My impression is the app is just a money grab and charges you for services it does not deliver on. If you're into stocks, you might want to look into a short position of BMBL. The latest news and earnings reports (Q1 and Q2 of 2024) are not good. New subscribers should stay away from this app.
