DT Connect V3 is here – digitise your workflow, eliminate paperwork, and deliver efficient, compliant fire system testing.

Test Existing Sites: Perform repeat site visits using existing site and asset information collected on your first visit.

Optimised Testing Workflow: Select an existing asset, and with one tap, the XTR2 programs the test type and captures results automatically – reducing errors and saving time.

Asset Management: Document more of the fire system with new asset types such as Call Points, Sounders, and Beacons – enabling complete and compliant reporting.

Improved Job Summary: Get a clear overview of site assets and tests captured during testing.

We’ve also included a host of minor features and improvements:
• New ‘Test New Site’ flow allowing users to set up a new site.
• New ‘Test Existing Site’ flow allowing users to search for existing sites and test previously created assets.
• Fire Panel setup and the creation of a Fire Panel asset are now mandatory to link connected asset types.
• Improved design of XTR2 device control, including dynamic Test Type and Alarm Detection buttons showing the current programmed state of the device.
• New test row design consolidating asset information and test results.
• New ‘Test with XTR2’ button for existing assets, automatically priming the correct test type ready for testing.
• New ‘Create Asset’ button and page to manually create assets beyond detectors.
• New asset types connected to the fire panel: Panel Battery, Call Point, Sounder, Beacon, Flame Detector, Beam Detector, CO Detector, and Linear Heat.
• New non-panel asset types: Emergency Lighting, Extinguisher, Doors, and Signage.
• New ‘Filter’ button to identify assets faster by filtering Asset Type, Zone, and Loop.
• Users can now delete test results captured by the XTR2.
• Users can now delete assets from the asset list.
• Panel Reconciliation is no longer automatically shown after finishing testing; it is now included as a feature on the Job Summary page.

Alongside these new app features come improvements to the DT Connect Web Portal:
• Sites Tab: Manage all sites, asset records, and reports in one place.
• Cloud-Based Asset List: Build and maintain a permanent record of site assets to improve testing efficiency and completeness.
• CSV Asset Upload: Quickly import asset data from existing spreadsheets to streamline your workflow.
• Enhanced Reports: Automatically generate professional reports with a full test breakdown, digital signatures, and easy sharing.

A report is automatically created in the app as testing is carried out, combining all the data needed to prove testing has taken place and confirming the status of each detector:

Location of site
Details of detectors
Result & time of each test date of test
Name of engineer

Once a test job is closed the report is automatically uploaded to the cloud portal, ready to analyse and share with your client.

The DT Connect app provides further functionality to tailor your settings for the job at hand:

Adjustable time settings in delayed start mode for testing ASD systems
Help and support provided directly from within the app.

What’s new

Update XTR2 firmware over-the-air via the DT Connect app—no cables needed. Added Visual Check Mode for testing tricky detectors with a 3-second LED inspection. Improved translations with industry-aligned asset names, plus bug fixes and performance enhancements for smoother, more reliable operation.
