Ratings and reviews

I want to give some more stars, I really do, but it's performed only adequately. Most of the voice selections default to the same female voice with no variation. I did find one that was more tolerable to listen to, but then it keeps randomly pausing as I'm listening and then I'll have to stop what I'm doing to restart it just for it to read a couple lines and then quit in the middle of a sentence. I tried closing me up reopening it uninstalling and reinstalling it, nothing helped.

Beware of Speechify! I signed up for their 3 day trial, which did not last for 3 days before I was charged for the yearly subscription ($139! Yes, $139!). When I requested a full refund, they refused. I told them I would file a dispute, and afterwards they terminated my subscription, removed my access to the premium features (so I only have access to the free version) and only gave me half of my money back. They then ignored all emails afterwards. If that isn't a scam, then I don't know what is!

So many user experience issues. There is no login on the app. You have to be logged in on your desktop to use the mobile app?? Which means the mobile app is almost useless. When you first open the mobile app there's a splash screen about upgrading to premium which it appears there is no way to close except that they've put an x in the upper left corner which is completely opposite to the s on the web. There are myriad issues like that and it doesn't seem like they care or listen at all.
