About this game

Major new update!

SPACEPLAN is an experimental piece of interaction based partly on a total misunderstanding of Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time. Use manual clicks and the passage of time to create and launch potato-based devices and probes from your nondescript satellite orbiting a mysterious planet. Unlock the mysteries of the galaxy or just kill some time in what the astrophysics community is calling the ‘best narrative sci-fi clicker game of all times’.

FEATURES

* Fifteen starchy items to unlock, create, and blast into the vacuum of space.

* Life affirming, silly story that will both captivate and help you kill time.

* Reveal the secrets of five different planets across two different realities.

* Banging soundtrack, as is customary in a narrative sci-fi clicker game.

Great game but not nearly enough of it. The first level felt like a solid idle clicker that I could easily play for weeks or months without getting tired of it if there were a hundred more levels like that. The second level was a beautiful work of art with some cool puzzle aspects that were pretty fun even though they distracted from the idle grinding and demanded close attention. Once you clear that though it's just a long trippy cutscene and nothing else to do but restart or uninstall.

This is a short little game, but it brought me great joy. The controls are easy to figure out, and the progression is not difficult at all. It really is an idle game: come in, buy a few upgrades, let it run while you're distracted, come back in a few hours and repeat. The gameplay is fine, really, but the plot is what makes this game shine. The terrible physics made me smile, and there's a sequence at the end that had me cackling alone in my car. Plus: potatoes. So many potato puns.

I was enjoying the game until I was met with a screen telling me my save was lost and I had to restart. Extremely frustrating because I spent a good amount of time on the game and was really enjoying it. Especially when there are reviews from 2-3 years ago detailing the same issue. I won't be restarting because it'll probably just delete my save again. Great potential ruined by sloppy execution.
