Auto-Adapt function: uses your home’s insulation and the outdoor temperature to programme when your heating should switch on.
Open Window Detection: when the Smart Radiator Valve detects a window is open, it temporarily switches off the heating in the room to prevent energy waste.

TLDR: buy another product Rating both the app and system here: Moved to a home with a smart thermostat and found a broken screen, leading to a struggle to get the app working with the system. The system overall has been temperamental, fluctuating in temperature all the time and not matching other thermometers. Now, all of a sudden, the thermostat is reading stupidly high temperatures - resetting the "true temperature" doesn't seem to fix that. Alongside a lack of customer support and high prices

I've updated this review from 5 stars to 1 star REASON:- It really is a fantastic thermostat and the app is easy to use and understand HOWEVER, The stat has a liquid ink display and after aprox 2 yrs the ink seems to start leaking through and the display after a while is just completely black. I contacted netatmo and sent it back to France for repair which cost £50. I was not happy but had no choice. Roughly 2 years on and it's started doing the same. I AM NOT HAPPY. GOING TO REPLACE.

The app is very easy to use and I installed the thermostat myself very easily in around 40 mins including pairing. I have had a Tado thermostat that was much more expensive than this and it failed just after the warranty ran out. This Netatmo thermostat does the same job for a much better price. The application is very user friendly. Great product and great app to control it.
