ITI stand’s for Industrial Training Institute. ITI is basically an institute that provides a lot of vocational training programs in many fields to students. Welder is one of the trades in ITI. ITI Welder is also known as welding in ITI. It is constituted by the Directorate General of Training under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
What is Welder in ITI? -
ITI Welder is a one-year vocational training program that deals with the study of welding, cutting, and brazing. In this course, you will get more practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge. You will learn how to do Shielded metal arc welding, Gas metal arc welding, Plasma Cutting, Arc Gouging, and many more.
You will also study different types of metals and alloys. It is a short-term course of a duration of 1 year.
After completing this course you can get a job in a factory or you can work in any workshop or welding shop.
You can do this course from the government sector or private sector. Many private ITI institute provides ITI in Welder trade.
ITI Welder Course Eligibility -
These eligibility criteria are for students who want to take admission in the welder course in ITI.
*Candidates must have passed in class 8th examination from a recognized board of education.
*Candidates should know the basic English language.
*Many institutes or colleges take an entrance test before admission. So, if you want to take admission to those institutes or colleges then you have to qualify for their entrance test and get a proper cut-off.

ITI Welder Course Fees -
Fees for the ITI Welder course is all depending on the institution whether it is a government institute or a private institute. I give you an idea of ITI Welder fees that are based on my experience. SC/ST categories students get fewer fees as compared to the General and OBC categories students.
*Government Institute:- ₹500 – ₹5,000
*Private Institute:- ₹5,000 – ₹50,000
ITI Welder Course Admission -
You can apply in ITI Welder on an online or offline mode. You have to go to the institute website or you can go directly to the institute physically whether it is government or private. You can get an admission form from your interested institute. You can fill that form and apply it to that institute.
