What “Portion Control” Is?

How to Follow Portion Control Diet?

FOOD GROUPS:
CARBS: It includes grains, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cereals, porridge, etc.
PROTEIN: It includes meat of all kind i.e Chicken, beef, mutton, fish. Eggs and pulses are also a good source of protein.
DAIRY: Milk and milk products i.e cheese, yogurt etc.
FRUIT: All kind of fruits are included in this food group.
VEGES: It’s a very important food group because it not only gives us multiple nutrients and vitamins but also keeps us fuller for longer.
FATS: It’s also an important food group but to be taken with moderation. It includes saturated and unsaturated fats i.e butter, margarine, oils (vegetable and seed oils), cream, mayonnaise, etc.
NUTS & SEEDS: A very good source of energy must be included in our daily diet.

TECHNIQUE BEHIND PORTION CONTROL DIET:
In PC diet plan we eat from all the food groups, we don’t have to starve ourselves…still we loose weight. The maximum calorie consumption in PC diet is up-to 1500 calories for females and 2000 calories for males. Which is 500 calories lesser than their daily requirements, so we are creating caloric deficit of 500 calories which leads to weight loss. Since this weight loss process is in a healthy way so a person following PC diet loses around 1 lb weight per week.

Just a thought. I need to log how many servings of vegetables I intake also, so maybe being able to change it from just a box would be helpful. Everything else you can submit a number for servings except that one. Thanks.

App is really helpful for people who are following portion control. I have suggestion, in chart there should b maximum portions mentioned on vertical side and portion we used should be shown lesser or upto it, lije if i have consumed 2 portions of carbs verticle reading shows 2 while it should show 6 n my graph line should b at point 2 this way we would know how much we have used our portion n how much is left. I hope I'm making sense.

This is a really nice app. If u add an option to record weight and waist circumference also,it will be wonderful. Please add caffeine intake with water intake with an option for plus and mi us.
