DigiLocker is a key initiative under Digital India, the Government of India's flagship program aimed at transforming India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. Targeted at the idea of paperless governance, DigiLocker is a platform for issuance and verification of documents & certificates in a digital way, thus eliminating the use of physical documents. I have been using digilocker since long time. It was all good until I updated the app. It did not work after the update even after clearing cache and data. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall. Now it says that it cannot be installed on my device. I am running Android 9 in my phone. I tested it on Android 10, it is found working. All my apps are supported on Android 9. Why such an important app stopped working on Android 9. Tried to raise complaint. Not allowed. It said - Android 9:no support

Totally unreliable application. I have tried a few times but it's just hopeless. I had stored documents which are now lost. It seems developers are modifying the app and not properly migrating user data. Even issued documents are lost and one needs to fetch these again and again. You can't depend on it for retrieval of earlier stored and fetched documents.

Unreliable Experience The app frequently logs you out without warning, which can be incredibly frustrating—especially in emergencies when quick access is crucial. Even if you've saved documents offline, you can't access them without signing in again, which defeats the purpose of the offline feature. This app is not recommended for anyone who might need reliable access in an emergency. Unfortunately, it functions like a typical government app
