The app still cannot connect to the pro series electric smoker. It's been 2 years and the Bluetooth connection still doesn't work. Maybe the smoker's Bluetooth controller was DOA. If so then that would the second hardware malfunction on my smoker, first being the electric element was not working properly and required a full replacement from yours truly which took about an hour

It does what I need it to do. You can control it via Bluetooth rather than the control panel. The only issue I have is the fact the notifications you can't click on it and it brings you to the App. You can't dismiss the alerts and timers without clicking into the app. You can swipe it away but the audible alert doesn't stop.

The first time I connected, it worked perfectly. The second and Following times I've connected, the app force closes on me. Oddly, I got it to work great when I turned on the VPN on my phone. I can't really make sense of it though, since this is supposed to connect via Bluetooth. When it works, it's really cool. However, for the most part, it's a pretty buggy app that rarely likes to connect without fiddling with it.
