About this app

Parents Gateway is an initiative by MOE to enable parents with Singpass to interact with schools more conveniently on administrative matters. Parents will also be able to use this app to stay updated on school’s programme and activities.

The mobile app is currently only available for mainstream MOE Kindergartens, Primary schools, Secondary schools and Junior Colleges/Centralised Institute.

We appreciate if you can share with us your feedback to help MOE enhance and improve the experience, benefiting more parents in future.

[Known Issues]
- Samsung S7 on Android 6 and 7 is known to have compatibility issues. To use Parents Gateway, please upgrade to Android 8

- Enhanced security measures have been put in place for rooted devices. The security measures is known to block apps such as Lucky Patcher and Rom Manager.
Uninstalling these apps will enable you to use the Parents Gateway app.

- No or inconsistent notifications received by Oppo and Huawei devices. This is due to battery optimisation configurations set by manufacturer.

[Note]
- If you choose to log out of Parents Gateway, you will stop receiving notifications for new announcements and consent forms until your next log-in.

- The Parents Gateway app uses Singpass to identify parents of students in MOE schools. Singpass is only used to identify and authenticate the parent. The Singpass ID and the password will not be stored in the app. Upon successful authentication, the connection to Singpass will be terminated and the login will henceforth be managed by the Parents Gateway app. There is no risk of Singpass credentials being stolen if a user stays logged in.

Ratings and reviews

The apps is user friendly. Easy and straight forward. But right now im facing with 1 issue, i have my kids under my care. Going to the same secondary school but different level.. The issue im facing was, whenever respond required for upcoming activities in school for my daughter, theres a yes or no button to choose.. But for my son, even it shows that respond require, theres nothing for me to press. Can help me to rectify this issue.. Thanks..

2024 update: still lousy!!! --- sends notifications by email that new info is provided in app, why not just provide info by email? waste time have to open the app. info in app usually pdf files, not easy to read on phone, have to zoom in and out, scroll left or right to read the pdf, end up I have to download the PDF, transfer to computer to read. this could have been solved in step 1 already. keep the app to simple text info and acknowledgement is ok. please provide mobile friendly web portal

2024: After 3 years, still need to use this app to download PDF. Very troublesome. IMO, this is the worst app from gov of sg. 2021: Feature request: Please forward a copy of message to my email. Most of messages are actually messages should be emailed. I have to constantly download a PDF attachment and forward to my email manually.

- You can now save important messages for easy reference under the Saved tab
- Accessing parenting resource articles is faster now with a tap on Parenting in the main menu
