Ratings and reviews

The Ocado app is functionally reliable but has several irritating features. Eg, every check out, you are always presented with flash sales. I have never, in over 200 previous shops, ever bought any of the trash that is advertised as a flash sale. Likewise, on every shop the app tries to sneak in hand gel into my order. Similarly, when searching for an item it always presents me with the products it is promoting rather than those which I have previously purchased.

This app is easy to use. Ordering is straightforward, offering with the option to select items, then close the app and return with previously selected items still in the basket. Payment for the goods is a smooth transaction, which isn't charged untill the delivery is made.

Best grocery app. Very smooth experience and simple but crucial features like sorting by price per unit. When we decided to move from in-store to deliveries, this app was almost entirely why we ended up subscribing to Ocado instead of others we tried (Sainsbury's and Tesco both had comparatively terrible sorting, were far too laggy, and gave totally unrelated products in searches).
