Good pixel graphics, no intrusive ads! I love the options menu, you can change the font, game-speed or add a Speedrun timer. Gameplay is auto move and battling, but you choose what "items" to equip, and where to place "cards" on the map. Pausing after each battle is important, but the hitbox of the pause (orb looking button) is smaller than its visual size. So I recommend enabling "pause after each battle" in settings

Can't seem to figure out how to save and Continue resets my progress. I tried going to the provided "guide" which glitched on an advertisement and altogether seemed sketchy. Selecting cards on the bottom of the screen sometimes exits the game on Android. Played this years ago on steam, not totally sure the kinks have been worked out but I'll hang tight.

Loop Hero is a almost perfect roguelike RPG. The story is intriguing and expeditions have a fun risk/reward system. But the main flaw starts to show after a dozen expeditions. Since the tiles used are limited and not randomized, placing tiles on the map becomes predictable. But player equipment and resources needed for progress are randomly generated. This makes some expeditions long and profitable but most end up being short and repetitive. TLDR: The game becomes a boring grind after a while.
